A Letter from CEO, Anne Caldwell

Dear friends,

2019 has been a year of historic accomplishments for the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. As this remarkable year closes, I would be remiss if I did not share these accomplishments with you.

We celebrated our 50th year

We completed 1,000 adoptions

We transported exactly 100 animals to safety through our Huntsville Hounds on Transport program.

GHHS was also awarded the Non-Profit of the Year award at the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Awards.

Because of fantastic community supporters like you, we are able to achieve these milestones. Without our community’s time, resources, and generosity, we simply could not operate. So, thank you, for being a part of this amazingly supportive community. Thank you for your support of our animals.

As I look forward to not just the next year, but to the next fifty, I am filled with excitement and determination. We believe that our success isn’t measured only by the number of completed adoptions but also by the countless families that rely on our programs to care for their animals.

Today, we embark on our Year-End Campaign. Our goal is to raise $50,000 in celebration of our 50th anniversary. Accomplishing this goal will increase our life-saving capacity through growing our existing programs, enlarging our foster care program, and providing even more resources to our community. We can’t do this without your help.

I humbly ask that during this holiday season of giving, you consider making a contribution to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. Your donation will enable us to make a lasting impact on our community and propel us into the next fifty years with the momentum necessary to save the lives of hundreds more animals in need.

Our animals may not be able to thank you themselves, but I can! From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of the animals in our care, thank you.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season,

Anne M. Caldwell
