About Our Mission

We are a no-kill shelter.

We support the humane care and treatment of all animals and providing adoption services to homeless and unwanted animals.

Proudly Serving Our Community

Our mission is to use rescue, training, adoption, education, and advocacy to ensure the humane treatment and welfare of all animals.
Established in 1969, GHHS is financially supported by generous private donors, grants, and local partnerships.

Through programs and initiatives such as King’s Community Kitchen, Pet Wellness Clinics (returning in 2024!), the Good Samaritan Fund, and Community Day. Three Tails ReSale, the GHHS Thrift Store, provides a unique shopping experience for all members of our community, while supporting the pets of GHHS.
