As a no-kill shelter, we want to do everything we can to help our community’s pets find their forever homes.
GHHS has the mission to use rescue, training, adoption, education, and advocacy to ensure the humane treatment and welfare of all animals.
Established 50 years ago, GHHS is financially supported by generous private donors, grants, and local sponsorships.
If you are not able to adopt, we have pets that can be fostered to help prepare them for their forever homes!
Chewy donated a truckload of supplies last month for our Road to Rescue campaign. Watch the short video below for more info.
All of our adoptable animals are listed on our website. If you find a furry friend that you like, be sure to fill out the adoption form on that pet’s page. A member of the GHHS team will be in touch to finalize your adoption, and Landers McClarty Subaru will donate $100 to GHHS.
Other things that GHHS will be doing this month include Howl-O-Ween at Straight to Ale on the 28th from 5 to 6 PM, King’s Kitchen on the 30th, and the Belk Charity Sale the 28th to the 30th. For this sale, we will have $5 coupons that can be used all month on purchases with Belk.
