Community Service Volunteers are not allowed to socialize with animals.
Instead you may be tasked with: cleaning crates, kennels & cat room, washing pet dishes & toys, general shelter cleaning, changing GHHS sign, pressure washing buildings, scooping poop, picking up litter, organizing pet food, painting, mowing grass, moving furniture, accepting and sorting donations (thrift store), prepping newspapers, helping with furniture pickups, etc. Please be dressed appropriately for these duties. Volunteer hours are tracked by signing in/out.
Community Service Volunteers MUST have a Staff Member initial every time you sign in/out or your hours will NOT be verified by the Volunteer Coordinator.
