Biography:

Bently is an 11-year-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix who is just the sweetest girl! All 6 pounds of her (her foster mom is working hard to add weight to her) loves to snuggle and curl up next to you or at your feet. She gets along with her foster dog siblings, but may be intimidated by larger dogs. Bently is still getting medicated baths to work on improving her coat, which is getting much better. She does not use her back left leg (see picture) and is scheduled to get it amputated, but is expected to recover well since she currently runs without it anyway. She appears to be house-trained, sleeps well through the night, and is a quiet, loving pup. Bently would make a great lap dog, companion, and new best friend for someone- is it you?

To ensure every animal is placed in a forever home, GHHS begins this process with a detailed adoption application. Each interested, potential adopter will fill out the application attached to the animal of interest. To be considered for adoption:

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.
If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.
If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter’s home.
Some animals may require a home inspection.
