Meet Jack! Jack's a sturdy, silly little guy whose main job in life has always been to be ridiculously cute. He has taken that responsibility very seriously. He's still pretty darn quick when he wants to be and likes his walks, but he is equally talented at being a couch potato and lap dog. He's not accustomed to loud noises, as he has lived in a very quiet environment for the last 13 years, but he will adapt. He adores being scratched right above his tail, and almost purrs if you hit the spot just right. He is a special, goofy, little guy who will be perfectly happy continuing to be spoiled rotten. Like most Chihuahuas, he has no idea he's little and will play with bigger dogs if he has the chance. Jack Sparrow is bonded with Gidget. Apply at ghhs.org!

Our mission is to complete families through a thoughtful and thorough adoption process.

To ensure every animal is placed in a forever home, GHHS begins this process with a detailed adoption application. Each interested, potential adopter will fill out the application attached to the animal of interest. To be considered for adoption:

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.
If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.
If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter’s home.
Some animals may require a home inspection.
Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
