Kick off the Holiday Season with a Celebration of Giving
Join us for a night of philanthropy and fun: have your picture taken with Santa Claus, create Holiday crafts for the community, and participate in activities presented by Alabama Dietetic Association, all while enjoying performances from a live choir.
Spread the holiday cheer even further by participating in donation drives supporting local charities. Don’t forget your books to donate to Kids to Love, sock donations for the SafePlace of North Alabama sock drive, and new, unopened hand pump soaps for Greater Huntsville Humane Society!

DECORATE YOUR OWN HOLIDAY DOORMAT
Come and enjoy craft time by creating your own outdoor, coir doormat with holiday spirit! Pick 1 of 2 stencil options to paint with family or friends under The Orion Dome during their kickoff Celebration of Giving. The North Alabama Dietetic Association and Alabama Dietetic Association are non-profit organizations serving as a professional network of dietitians and nutritionists in the North Alabama region and across the state. Their mission is to serve the public through the promotion of optimal nutrition, health, and well-being while advocating for the dietetics profession. Their vision is that Registered Dietitians will be recognized as Alabama’s nutrition experts and our influence in improving the health of Alabamians will be valued.

PERSONALIZE YOUR OWN HOLIDAY ORNAMENT
Greater Huntsville Humane Society will also be on-site offering the paw-fect addition to your Christmas tree! Take home your very own GHHS ornament, hand-crafted in Huntsville by Southern Birch woodworking shop. This festive craft is free to participate in, though donations are greatly appreciated and help support GHHS’s missions to further humane treatment of animals and provide adoption services. GHHS will also be accepting sign-ups of volunteers for their shelter thrift store – just visit their booth to talk to a GHHS animal advocate about getting involved.
