Volunteer & Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

Three Tails Resale

  • Strive to increase volunteerism at the store and support training efforts with new volunteers.
  • Assist store team with daily operations.
  • Communicate with all demographics professionally and effectively through respectful interactions with staff, volunteers, customers, and donors.

GHHS

  • Coordinates and recruits volunteer support for community events, King’s Community Kitchen, Paws for Reading, and similar programs.
  • Understands the basic operations of GHHS/Three Tails Resale, including pet protocols, to properly train volunteers.
  • Maintain volunteer communication including but not limited to volunteer reports, email, Facebook group page, and Constant Contact.
  • Resolve volunteer problems, reassign volunteers, or terminate volunteers if not appropriate for the organization or task at hand.
  • Works with staff to identify volunteer needs, projects, and duties.
  • Ensures volunteer hours are recorded in Neon each month.

Additional

  • Support GHHS/Three Tails Resale with community/in-store events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Boast a passion for animal welfare and advocacy.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule at the shelter, thrift store, and in the community.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with an array of demographics.

This position has the opportunity for pay increase and bonuses upon employee reviews.
