We are a no-kill shelter.

We support the humane care and treatment of all animals and providing adoption services to homeless and unwanted animals.

Our mission is to use rescue, training, adoption, education, and advocacy to ensure the humane treatment and welfare of all animals.

Established in 1969, GHHS is financially supported by generous private donors, grants, and local partnerships.

Our mission to promote the humane treatment of ALL animals is encompassed by community programs and initiatives such as King’s Community Kitchen, Monte’s Wellness Clinic, the Good Samaritan Fund, and our annual Community Day. Three Tails ReSale, the GHHS Thrift Store, also provides a unique shopping experience for all members of our community, while supporting the pets of GHHS.
