The Greater Huntsville Humane Society (GHHS) will reinstate their community program, the Good Samaritan Fund beginning Monday, May 15, 2023.

With an overwhelming amount of support from our community, GHHS is honored to announce that the organization can return to providing emergency assistance to pet-owning community residents in financial distress.

Spencer Batcheller, GHHS Chief Executive Officer exclaimed, “Over the past several months private community donors have been designating funds to help GHHS build their community outreach programs, such as Pitch in Pets and King’s Community Kitchen. Due to this generosity, GHHS is able to restore our Good Samaritan Fund, a community-based program that offers assistance in emergency vet care.”

Based on the current standings, GHHS will budget up to one-thousand dollars per month to assist community residents in need. The leadership team at GHHS will also be working with local veterinarians on a “match” program, to increase the monetary support for the emergency services being administered.
