$16.00 per hour
Position Summary: The Key Holder assists the GHHS Director of Marketing & Communication with daily operations of the thrift store to maximize sales and donations, while maintaining organization operating standards.

Three Tails Resale – Key Holder Responsibilities: 

  • Always strive to increase revenue for the GHHS pets through sales.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures efficiently.
  • Support daily store operations and store procedures and protocol.
  • Assist with daily cleaning such as trash removal, sweeping, dusting.
  • Communicate with all demographics professionally and effectively.
  • Model respectful interaction with staff, volunteers, customers, and donors.
  • Assist with unloading, sorting, and processing of donations.
  • Oversee thrift store associates, cashier, and volunteers while leadership team is off-site.
  • Maintain cash register drawer and assist with daily reports through Korona POS system.
  • Assist GHHS Director of Marketing & Communication in the set-up and execution of special events and sales.

Required Qualifications:

  • Boast a passion for animal welfare and advocacy.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Must be available to work, Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30AM-4:30PM.
  • High school or General Education Degree (GED) required; relevant degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with communication platforms such as Zoom and Slack.
  • Requires considerable skill in the application of office methods and procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects while adhering to safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and productively with GHHS staff, volunteers, stakeholders, and the Huntsville community.
  • Must be comfortable and willing to interact with all demographics of community population; public, leadership staff, volunteers, pets etc.
  • Must possess driver’s license, clean driving record and insurance; assist in driving box truck for pick-up donations.

This position has the opportunity for pay increase and bonuses upon employee reviews.
